On Wednesday, March 21, employees of the “Lviv South” customs post issued an unusual “cargo”: two Himalayan bears – Pushynka and Umka. The clubfoot is sent to Germany for permanent residence. This was announced on the Facebook page of Lviv Customs.
It is known that the cubs were born in the Podilskyi Zoo in Vinnytsia. It is interesting that four-legged animals cross the border with real Ukrainian passports, which indicate not only the vaccination calendar, but also interesting features. For example, the ability to “climb trees perfectly, find shelter in a hollow, cover it with leaves and hibernate.”

“Two females are going to Germany, where local suitors are waiting for them. Unfortunately, during the war, even animals are forced to leave their native land in order to live in peace and give birth to healthy offspring,” the post of Lviv Customs says.
Also, in the message of the Lviv customs office, it is stated that the bears lived in one of the zoos of the Lviv region, but the agency refused to name which one, they say, so as not to harm the safety of the animals that live there.
