In the village of Verkhnye in Lviv region, a memorial plaque was unveiled in honor of the fallen defender of Ukraine, Mykola Kalapishchak.
Mykola Kalapishchak was originally from the village of Verkhnye in Sambir district. He graduated from the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas and lived with his family in Stryi. In May 2023, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After training in the United Kingdom, he performed combat missions in the eastern direction, holding the position of a marksman-sniper in the 81st Separate Airmobile Brigade.
Sadly, Mykola died on September 28, 2023, near the village of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. Eternal honor to the Hero.
