The season of mobile premieres is open… on the border with Poland
Brand new Chinese smartphones were found on the Ukrainian border. The consignment of phones was being smuggled.
At the Krakivets checkpoint, border guards of the 7th Carpathian Border Guard Detachment, according to information from the detachment’s operational staff, together with customs officers, found almost 170 Redmi and Poco mobile phones.
A 19-year-old native of Lviv tried to smuggle them through the “green corridor”.
The smartphones were found in the side lining of the Renault car’s interior – the rear door maps, sills, spare wheel, and technological cavities of the car’s floor were carefully filled with gadgets.
In total, 168 mobile phones of various models were removed from the vehicle’s structural features.
Customs officers drew up a report on violation of customs rules, and the goods were seized.
