Goods under the guise of humanitarian aid found on the border with Poland
At the Krakivets checkpoint, border guards of the 7th Carpathian Border Guard Detachment, in cooperation with officers of the detachment’s operational and search department and customs officers, found goods intended to be smuggled under the guise of humanitarian aid.
In a DAF truck heading to Ukraine, border guards found about a tonne of undeclared new clothes with labels for men’s and women’s T-shirts and T-shirts among the cargo declared in the declaration – beds, mattresses, baby carriages. The truck with the goods was heading from Spain and was to be delivered to Lviv for humanitarian purposes.
According to preliminary estimates, the value of the detected and seized goods is almost UAH 1 million.
