An exhibition of works by families of prisoners of war and missing persons, titled ‘Towel of Hope’, is on display in Lviv. This exhibition allows visitors to delve into the stories of families who create embroidered towels by hand to preserve the memory of their loved ones. This was reported by LvivskaODA.
The exhibition is organised by public organisations ‘Women of the Kin’, ‘Born Free 2024’, and ‘Women of Territorial Defence’ to remind those who wait every day for their loved ones to return home. It serves as a nationwide reminder of the need to believe and hope.
Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, expressed gratitude to everyone working at the Western Regional Centre of the Coordination Headquarters for Prisoner of War Affairs. He emphasised the importance of their work, which, although emotionally challenging, is vital for many people waiting for their relatives to come home.
The exhibition can be visited at the Zenyk Art Gallery (ZAG Gallery) in Lviv at 7 Shota Rustaveli Street until 18 March.
