The court found a 49-year-old resident of the Lviv district guilty of domestic violence (Article 126-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) in support of the public prosecution by prosecutors of the Zhovkiv district prosecutor’s office. The court sentenced him to imprisonment for 3 months.
It was established that in the village Kulykiv, Lviv district, the convict lives in the same house with his mother and for a long time systematically commits domestic violence against her. The victim notes that her son has been abusing alcoholic beverages for years, destroying her property, insulting her with obscene language, beating her, and constantly threatening physical violence.
In particular, in June, the man once again returned home drunk and started a conflict with his mother, during which he verbally insulted the latter, belittling her honor and dignity, and threatened physical violence. And with the aim of psychological pressure and intimidation, he damaged the property of the victim.
