Eight more “evaders” from mobilization who fled abroad with forged documents will be tried in Lviv Oblast

The accused, men of conscription age, tried to leave the Republic of Poland by presenting forged documents to the inspectors of the border service.

In particular, as established by the investigators of the investigation department of police department No. 1 of the Yavoriv district police department, under the procedural guidance of the Yavoriv district prosecutor’s office, a 27-year-old resident of Chernihiv region and a 39-year-old resident of Dnipropetrovsk region provided fictitious military service certificates and certificates of unfitness from the military medical commission to military service.

And a 32-year-old man from Kharkiv forged a decision of one of the Kharkiv district courts that he is raising his minor son on his own and has the right to leave the country during the period of martial law and exemption from mobilization for service in the Armed Forces.

In August, the men presented forged documents to inspectors of the border service at the “Mostyska” and “Shegyna” crossings during attempts to cross the state border of Ukraine with the Republic of Poland. The border guards discovered that the documents had signs of forgery and informed the police about it.

Pre-trial investigations in criminal proceedings opened under Part 1 of Article 358 (Forgery of documents) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and Part 4 of Article 358 (Use of a knowingly forged document) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine have been completed, the indictments have been referred to the court. The maximum penalty for criminals is imprisonment for a term of up to two years.

Since the beginning of August, only employees of the inquiry department of the police department No. 1 of the Yavoriv district police department have sent eight such indictments to the court.
