Under the procedural leadership of the Frankiv District Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Lviv, three men were notified of suspicion. They are charged with the organization of illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine, according to a previous conspiracy by a group of persons, committed repeatedly (Part 2 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, during 2022 the suspects organized a scheme for illegal crossing of the state border by conscript men.
The group included residents of Lviv Oblast, one of whom was an individual entrepreneur engaged in international transportation. To implement their plan, they looked for “clients”, employed them at the business entity. Subsequently, this information was submitted for entry into the “Path” system.
Thus, conscripts freely traveled outside Ukraine as alleged employees of an entrepreneur – truck drivers.
It is documented that 12 people illegally crossed the border under this scheme and did not return to the territory of Ukraine.
Currently, preventive measures have been taken for two suspects in the form of detention, the third suspect has been declared wanted.
Investigations are ongoing, all involved persons are being identified.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv Region, under the operational support of the staff of the Ukrainian Security Service in the Lviv Region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
