As previously established by law enforcement officers, the driver of the “Deu Lanos” car, a 29-year-old man who temporarily lives in one of the villages of the district, collided with a “Hyundai” car parked on the side of the road. As a result of the collision, two children were injured – a 14-year-old girl who was standing near the parked car, and a 6-year-old passenger of “Lanos”. The children were taken to the hospital.
In addition, it was established that the driver of “DEU” was driving the vehicle in a state of alcohol intoxication.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Yavoriv district police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286-1 (Violation of the rules of road traffic safety or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles while intoxicated) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of up to three years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of three to five years.
The driver of “Lanos” was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, the court will soon choose a preventive measure for him.
A pre-trial investigation is being conducted, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
