Fatal Road Accident in Vynnyky: Teenager Died on the Spot
The road traffic accident occurred on April 27 around 17:45 on Danylo Halytskyi Street in the city of Vynnyky.
Details of the Accident
As preliminarily established by law enforcement, a Renault Megane vehicle driven by an 18-year-old resident of a village in the Lviv district collided with a motorcycle of an unknown brand, driven by a 12-year-old resident of Vynnyky. As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist sustained bodily injuries, from which he died at the scene.
Legal Consequences
Investigators have opened a criminal case under part 2 of article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules or Transport Operation by Persons Driving Vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article’s sanction provides for a penalty of imprisonment for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years or without such.
