As investigators of the Chervonohrad district police department found, a 37-year-old resident of Chervonohrad illegally purchased, stored, and later sold an RGD-5 grenade to a local resident.
In addition, during the authorized search of the home of the intruder, law enforcement officers discovered and seized an F-1 grenade.
Investigators of the territorial division of the police, under the procedural guidance of the Chervonograd District Prosecutor’s Office, informed the intruder of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 1 of Article 263 (Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of three to seven years.
The pre-trial investigation continues, law enforcement officers are establishing the origin of the ammunition.
In addition, the intruder, being near one of the shops in Chervonohrad, stole a “Winner” mountain bike.
Taking into account the fact that in the conditions of martial law the maximum penalty for theft is provided, he was informed of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 4 of Article 185 (Theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the article is up to eight years of imprisonment.
Soon, the court will choose a preventive measure for the suspect.
