Under the procedural leadership of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, three residents of Lviv Oblast were exposed and notified of suspicion. They are charged with illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine (Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the suspects, according to a previous conspiracy, promised to illegally transport a conscripted man across the state border of Ukraine.
To do this, they contributed to the entry of data about him into the “Path” system as a volunteer from the charitable foundation. The latter gave him the right to cross the border unimpeded. After that, the men promised to ensure the direct transportation of their “client” across the border.
The price for such a service was $4,600.
Investigative actions are ongoing, the question of choosing preventive measures for the suspect is being resolved.
Pretrial investigation in criminal proceedings is carried out by investigators of the Investigative Department of the Main Department of the National Police of the region under the operational support of the Department of Military Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Lviv Border Detachment.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
