Under the procedural leadership of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the state inspector of the customs post “Rava-Ruska” of the Lviv Customs Office was exposed and notified of the suspicion of receiving an unlawful benefit, committed repeatedly (Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the official received a bribe from a citizen to ensure the unhindered movement of goods across the customs border in the “green corridor” traffic lane in the direction of “entry into Ukraine” and not to draw up a protocol on his violation of customs rules.
The defendant valued her services at UAH 8,000.
It has been documented that the woman repeatedly received an unlawful benefit.
At the moment, urgent investigative actions are ongoing, the issue of selecting a preventive measure and removing the suspect from her position is being resolved.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings is carried out by the investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 of the GU NP in the Lviv Region, with the assistance of employees of the WB of Customs and the Department of Strategic Investigations in the Lviv Region of the SSR of the National Police of Ukraine.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
