Under the procedural leadership of the Zhovkiv district prosecutor’s office, a 40-year-old man was notified of suspicion. He is charged with intentional grievous bodily harm (part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, on December 26 of this year in the city of Kamianka – Buzka, two local residents were relaxing and drinking alcoholic beverages together in one of the cafes.
A dispute arose between them, during which the suspect began hitting the head and body of a 34-year-old man with his fists. As a result, the victim lost his balance and fell to the floor, and the attacker began kicking him on the body.
However, he did not stop there, dragged the lying victim to the middle of the hall and continued the beating again.
As a result, the local resident received numerous serious injuries and was hospitalized. He is currently in intensive care.
The police detained the suspect in accordance with Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine.
At the prosecutor’s request, the detainee was remanded in custody.
Investigations are ongoing.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of police department No. 1 of the Lviv district police department No. 1 of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
