A further 30 internally displaced persons in Lviv to receive housing vouchers

In Lviv, a further 30 internally displaced persons will receive housing support in the form of housing vouchers. The relevant decision was adopted by the executive committee of the Lviv City Council, which approved the proposals of the specialised commission responsible for housing issues for certain categories of IDPs from temporarily occupied territories.

The city’s Social Protection Department reported that the commission had recently considered 35 new applications. Following its review, 30 applicants were approved to receive housing vouchers, while 5 people were refused due to inaccurate information found in the documents submitted.

Since the start of the programme, the commission has already processed 1,086 applications from internally displaced persons. Housing support has been granted to 830 applicants, while 256 applications have been rejected, also due to inaccurate information provided. Since 1 December, a total of 1,133 applications to take part in this programme have been submitted via the “Diia” portal.

This concerns a state programme to support internally displaced persons, under which housing vouchers are provided for the purchase of a home. The maximum amount of such support is up to UAH 2 million. The voucher can be used to purchase property, invest in or finance the construction of housing, purchase a plot of land for development, as well as to pay a deposit or repay a mortgage loan.
