Today, May 23, the country celebrates Heroes’ Day. This is an annual commemoration of all the heroes who fought for the sovereignty and independence of our state and are now fighting for our freedom.
According to the Department of Finance of the Lviv Regional State Administration, the regional budget annually provides funds for the payment of targeted financial assistance to veterans of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, widows (widows) of political prisoners and widows (widows) of veterans. Thus, more than 1.4 million hryvnias have already been allocated for this purpose to provide one-time assistance to 586 citizens.
This year’s assistance is set at UAH 2.4 thousand per person. It is paid at the place of residence or registration of the recipient.
