Increase in Own Revenues of Budgetary Institutions in Lviv Region in 2023
Own revenues of regional budgetary institutions, facilities, and economic organizations remain a significant financial support for their activities. As of January-February this year, over 156 million UAH of own revenues were received – 24 million UAH or 18% more than the revenues for the two months of the previous year, “said the director of the finance department of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Oleg Demkiv.”
Structure and Use of Own Revenues
The structure of own revenues still predominantly comprises income from the provision of paid services, which accounts for 53%, while other sources of own revenues make up 47%.
- The largest sums of own revenues were obtained by municipal non-profit medical institutions – about 78 million UAH, and educational institutions – 49 million UAH.
- Social protection institutions received over 15 million UAH, culture and arts – 9 million UAH, and physical culture and sports – 4 million UAH.
During the reporting period, institutions and organizations have already utilized about 115 million UAH of own revenues. These funds covered expenses for salary payments with accruals amounting to 10 million UAH, payment for energy and utility services – over 7 million UAH, and other current needs – over 72 million UAH. Additionally, more than 25 million UAH were directed towards capital expenditures. In the previous year, 102 million UAH of own revenues were used during the same period.
We anticipate further improvement in the dynamics of own revenues of regional institutions and organizations, and continuation of efforts to activate their financial and economic activities and attract sponsorship (charitable) assistance.
