Review of the Hydrological Situation in the Rivers of Lviv Region as of the Morning of January 29, 2025

In the Lviv region, various levels of precipitation have been recorded, ranging from 0.3 to 4 millimeters over the past day. As a result of active snow melting, most rivers in the Dniester basin showed increases in water levels from 1 to 28 centimeters, with maximum rises up to 50 centimeters observed on the Striy River in the city of Striy. Some sections in the Dniester basin experienced decreases in levels up to 4 cm.

Fluctuations in water levels in the plain rivers belonging to the basins of the San and Western Bug were less pronounced, with changes ranging from 1 to 4 cm, predominantly showing decreasing trends. Water temperature varied from 1.3 to 7.8 degrees Celsius.

Forecast of the Hydrological Situation for the Next Day

According to forecasts, due to the continuation of the runoff wave movement, a slight increase in water levels is expected in the middle and lower reaches of the Striy and Dniester rivers in the area of Zhuravno village. The rise will be from 0.2 to 0.7 meters without worsening conditions. Further decline in water levels is predicted in other rivers of the region.
