The T-14-18 road is being repaired within the framework of the international project “Development of border road infrastructure at the approaches to checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border”.
In this section, 46 kilometers of the road need to be repaired. As of now, work on the installation of the lower layer of asphalt concrete road surface with preliminary strengthening of the base is already being completed.
“More than 17 kilometers of the upper layer of asphalt concrete were laid, 6.5 kilometers of sidewalks within the population centers and 7 bridge crossings were repaired. I emphasize once again that high-quality transport connections and proper border road infrastructure with the countries of the European Union are the key to the economic and food security of our country,” said the head of the Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi.
The works are carried out by Ukravtodor in cooperation with the contracting organization DROG-BUD Sp. z o. o.
“The key to the economic and food security of our country, especially in times of war, is high-quality transport connections and proper border road infrastructure with the countries of the European Union. Accordingly, this year we pay special attention to border roads and customs crossings. It is not only about the repair of the road surface, but also about the construction of customs crossings and the arrangement of roadside infrastructure,” said Oleg Bereza, head of the Road Service in the Lviv Region.
In addition, the project also provides for the arrangement of public transport stops and road safety measures.
