The residents of Hryada are asking to install a traffic light on the road of state importance near the village

Residents of Hryada are asking the responsible state authorities to install traffic lights and means of recording violations of traffic rules on the section of the M-09 Ternopil-Lviv-Rava-Ruska road, which is not far from the village. The department of the city agglomeration of the LMR notes that adults and children are exposed to danger every day in this area.

A person died here in the last six months. Earlier, there were also road accidents in this area with fatalities and injuries.

The head of the Office of the Lviv community in Hryad, Oksana Kalyniak, says that the traffic light issue is more than relevant for their community. “This is a vital need. After all, this section of the road is used by almost all residents of the community. The community office repeatedly appealed to the relevant state services, but to no avail,” Oksana Kalynyak said.

Therefore, the department of the city agglomeration once again sent official appeals to the head of LOVA, the patrol police and the Highway Service. The subject of the appeal is to equip a pedestrian crossing with a traffic light on the section of the M-09 road near the village of Hryada. And also install a technical means of automatic recording of violations of traffic rules.

“The traffic light, as an urgent need for Hryada on the road of state importance, became the main project that the community proposed to implement at the dialogue seminar with representatives of the Council of Europe, which we organized. The project proposed by the community is not within the competence of the city council, as it is a road of state importance. However, it is extremely important for people and requires an immediate response,” the Department of Urban Agglomeration of the LMR emphasizes

Until this issue is resolved, all road users, in particular drivers, are asked to be as careful as possible on this section of the road.
