We are talking about the driver of bus route No. 709 Lviv JSC Zahidna – Ilnyk.
The driver of bus route No. 709 Lviv JSC Zahidna – Ilnyk, which is served by the transporter PP Tur-Avto, voiced known inaccurate information about the work of ASOOP in the region.
The incident happened on Tuesday, January 9, during a conversation with journalists of a local TV channel. In the end, the story aired, the topic of which was the functioning of the automated system of accounting for fares in suburban and intercity bus routes of public use in the Lviv region (hereinafter – ASOOP).
Taking this into account, the Department of Road Management of Lviv Regional Government has worked with the motor transport company “Tur-Avto” to ensure the continuous and uninterrupted operation of the ASOOP within the limits of the contractual obligations.
In turn, the company reacted to the words of its employee in the story and, in the end, fired him for violating labor discipline. The corresponding order No. 22 dated January 10, 2024 “On dismissal from work” was received by the road management department the day after the release of the material in the mass media.
“Drivers and carriers, who will discredit the ASOOP system by their actions, will not serve suburban and intercity (intra-regional) routes of the Lviv region. The ASOOP system was created to ensure the convenience of passengers, as well as the unification of technologies and methods of paying for the passage of passengers and luggage in passenger transport”, – reports the director of the road management department, Orest Shulikovskyi.
We note that drivers must inform passengers about the possibility of non-cash payment and, if necessary, help make contactless payment, or show where in the vehicle there is an information leaflet with step-by-step instructions on how to use such a service and a hotline number.
