Tragic fire in Zolochiv district: rescuers save woman, man dies
On 03 July, at 03:32, rescuers received a report of a fire in the village of Baluchyn, Zolochiv district, in a brick residential building.
Rescuers from the 42nd State Fire and Rescue Post of Hlyniany and the 14th State Fire and Rescue Unit of Busk were sent to the scene.
At the time of the fire, there were people in the house, and the rescuers took the woman and the man out into the fresh air. The doctors provided medical assistance to the man, as he was unconscious, but unfortunately, they could not save the man born in 1941.
A man born in 1971 also suffered burns to his hands and face as a result of the fire, but he refused medical assistance.
The fire destroyed household items over an area of 5 square metres, damaged a wooden window over an area of 1 square metre, and damaged the ceiling and roof over an area of 2 square metres.
The owner and 2 buildings were saved.
At 04:14, the fire was contained and extinguished by rescuers at 04:44. Six rescuers and two units of special equipment were involved in the firefighting.
