Today, weather forecasters warned of a thunderstorm and possible hail in the Lviv region.
In the evening, the bad weather caused disasters in Lviv. This is what is known as of 22:50 from the first deputy mayor of Lviv, Andriy Moskalenko:
On Kobylytsia Street, a wire running from the church to the houses is short-circuited. The State Emergency Service, Oblenergo and the emergency service are working at the scene. As a result of a short circuit in the overhead power line, private houses and 2-storey buildings around Kobyltsy Street were temporarily left without electricity.
And here’s what Lviv residents heard tonight! It is likely that lightning struck a transformer:

🔺A fire was recorded on Washington Street. On the balcony of a residential building (3rd floor), as well as a fire in a house in the Rudno district
