During the day, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service of Lviv region neutralized an aerial bomb and an artillery shell from World War II.
On October 18, specialists neutralized a FAB-50 high-explosive aerial bomb, which was discovered by residents of the village of Babychi in the Sheptytsky district while walking in the forest. On the same day, a 105 mm artillery shell found near the village of Slokhyny in the Sambir district during cemetery territory cleaning was removed and destroyed.
The Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region urges citizens to adhere to safety rules when discovering explosive objects. “Do not endanger yourself: do not touch a suspicious object; do not move or disassemble it; do not throw it into the fire — it is deadly dangerous!” — the State Emergency Service emphasizes. If you find a dangerous item, report it immediately by calling ‘101’ or ‘102’.
