More than 20 IDP children returned from the Netherlands after a three-week vacation

Internally displaced children live in the territory of the Chervonohrad district.

26 IDP children who spent 21 days vacationing abroad returned from the Netherlands. These children live in Chervonohrad district. These are children whose parents are currently fighting or died at the front, children from large families and orphans under the age of 14.

“This trip was made possible thanks to Yury Shulsky from Chervonograd, who lives in the Netherlands and cooperates with the Stichting Kinderhulp Tsjernobylramp foundation, which has been helping Belarusian families affected by the Chernobyl NPP for many years. This year, the foundation decided to help Ukrainian families so that their children can rest from worries. The children were accompanied by volunteers, as well as immigrants from Buchi and Irpen, who speak the language well,” said Ruslana Kuzhelna, the organizer of the trip.

All children lived within the same district in the families of local Dutch people. Until July 18, young Ukrainians had the opportunity to join the educational process and learn the language. Various games and creative evenings were jointly organized. All expenses were covered by the foundation Stichting Kinderhulp Tsjernobylramp.

The day before, young Ukrainians were met at the border together with their parents and trip organizers. Parents who met their children, in good Ukrainian tradition, presented a loaf of bread for the Dutch.
