On July 1, at 06:08, the Rescue Service “101” received a report about a fire in the village of Lana, Lviv district in a brick two-story residential building, size 12×8 m.
Rescuers from the 50th State Fire and Rescue Station of the city of Bibrka were sent to the scene.
When the rescuers arrived at the scene, it became clear that smoke was coming out of the garage, which is located in a residential building, and that a person might be inside.
Emergency personnel put on special apparatus for the protection of respiratory and vision organs and began to extinguish the fire and search for the man.
At 06:43 the fire was localized and at 06:50 it was extinguished as part of the gas and smoke protection service.
The body of the owner’s son, born in 1982, was found at the scene of the fire. The fire destroyed household items on an area of 1.5 square meters. Saved: residential building.
4 personnel and 1 unit of special equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. The likely cause of the fire could be carelessness while smoking.
