A 25-year-old resident of the city of Kryvyi Rih, who temporarily lives in Lviv, who was involved in the distribution of the psychotropic substance “PVP”, was exposed by operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Lviv Oblast Police together with investigators of the Police Department No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2.
On October 11, during the investigation of the territory, law enforcement officers found a man behaving suspiciously on Nyzynnaya Street in Lviv. A cursory search revealed and seized 850 prepackaged packets, ready for distribution, containing a substance that looked like “PVP” salts.
Everything removed is directed to expert research.
Law enforcement officers identified the man, a 25-year-old resident of the city of Kryvyi Rih, who temporarily lives in Lviv, and detained him in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Investigators of the territorial division of the police, under the procedural leadership of the Frankiv District Prosecutor’s Office, opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Article 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, forwarding or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article envisages punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of nine to twelve years with confiscation of property.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
Law enforcement officers establish the channels of receipt of narcotics, as well as other persons involved in the commission of a crime.
