The morning of January 30th was grim for the residents of Slavske settlement in Stryi district due to a large fire. At 05:16, rescuers received an urgent call about a fire that had engulfed a two-story wooden building on Ustiyanovych Street.
Firefighting and rescue units from Lviv region were dispatched to combat the fire. Upon their arrival, the flames had already covered a significant part of the building, and the fire was quickly spreading through the wooden structures. The owner of the building managed to leave the premises before the arrival of the teams, allowing the rescuers to immediately begin extinguishing the fire.
Using specialized equipment for respiratory and eye protection, the firefighters were able to localize the fire by 08:26 and completely extinguish it by 08:48. Work on extinguishing and dismantling the structures continues, with over 50 rescuers and 9 units of special equipment working on site.
