In the evening, firefighters extinguished a fire in a boiler room near Lviv
On 1 September, at 22:00, a fire was reported in a boiler room in the village of Sokilnyky, Lviv district.
When rescuers arrived at the scene, thick smoke was coming out of the building. There was a threat of the fire spreading to a nearby building. The fire was spreading rapidly through wooden structures. Due to the heavy smoke, the firefighters had to wear special respiratory and eye protection devices.
The firefighters’ prompt and coordinated actions prevented the fire from spreading to a nearby building. At 22:48, the firefighters contained the fire and eliminated it at 23:21.
The fire destroyed part of the roof.
Experts are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
