The Summer Korean Studies School was held at the Lviv Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education, bringing together educators from all over Ukraine.
This event gathered scientists, historians, methodologists, and teachers who are participants in the \”Understanding Korea 2025\” project, as well as winners of the competition for the best lesson plan on the history and culture of the Republic of Korea. Finalists of the All-Ukrainian competition \”Teacher of the Year – 2025\” in the \”History\” category were also present.
Over three days, participants listened to lectures by leading scholars about the place of Korean history in the context of reforming school historical education in Ukraine. They discussed the possibilities of Ukrainian electronic educational resources for teaching Korean history and culture, as well as the themes of the Korean cultural wave and the values of the modern world.
Particularly interesting were the presentations of methodological developments by practicing teachers from different regions of Ukraine. \”The Summer Korean Studies School has become not only an intellectual platform for exchanging ideas but also an example of successful intercultural communication and educational diplomacy. Educators not only gained new knowledge but also were inspired to create innovative practices, plan joint projects, and seek new forms of interdisciplinary integration. The sense of professional unity, exchange of experience, and understanding the importance of studying history are the main achievements of the Summer Korean Studies School,\” said Pavlo Khobzei, director of the Lviv Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education.
