According to the order No. 372/0/5-23BA of the head of the Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytsky dated 05/24/2023, laureates of the regional award for scientists have been determined.
In 2023, regional awards for employees of scientific institutions and institutions of higher education were awarded to 171 scientists, namely:

The winners will be announced on May 29.
We would like to remind that this year 306 applications from 26 higher educational institutions and scientific institutions of the Lviv region were considered by the competition commission for the selection of award winners.
Among the leaders:
- Lviv Polytechnic National University — 107 applications;
- Lviv Ivan Franko National University — 42 applications;
- Physical and Mechanical Institute named after H.V. Karpenka of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine — 25 applications;
- Lviv National Medical University named after Danylo Halytsky — 24 applications;
- Institute of Physics of Condensed Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine — 15 applications.
Applications for participation in the competition could be submitted by scientific and scientific-pedagogical workers, doctoral students, post-graduate students (adjuncts), research interns and engineering and technical workers of scientific institutions and institutions of higher education of Lviv region, who conduct scientific research and have published scientific works in authoritative journals. scientific publications and a high level of citations (in Scopus and Google Scholar databases).
The Lviv Regional State Administration and the Lviv Regional Council annually award awards to employees of scientific institutions and higher educational institutions (universities, academies, institutes) of the Lviv Region: to well-known scientists and well-known specialists, young scientists and researchers for scientific achievements and with the aim of supporting and stimulating their scientific research.
