In Belga, the church celebrated the feast of the transfer of the relics of St Nicholas and consecrated a new altar.
The prayer was performed by Bishop Peter in concelebration with the clergy:
“When we look at the person of St Nicholas and why he became a saint, we see his kindness. He wanted to help everyone.
The name Nicholas translates as a victor and one who focuses on doing good.
As we celebrate this holiday today, we pray for those who protect us with their lives.
We celebrate Easter and the memory of the great saint, and we believe that there is no greater joy at Easter time than the Resurrection of Christ, who conquered death by His death.” – from the bishop’s sermon.
