As a reminder, in April 2012, the German city of Freiburg sent a generator to Lvivvodokanal for backup power.
“Now we have new important tasks to take care of the safety and defence capability of our facilities, as well as to ensure the supply of drinking water in case of emergencies. Therefore, we are sincerely grateful for the generator for backup power provided to us by the city of Freiburg. This equipment will allow us to provide backup power for one of our pumping stations.
In November 2012, Lvivvodokanal ordered 38 diesel generator stations for UAH 20 million.
Lvivvodokanal, a Lviv municipal utility company, has announced a tender in the system of ProZorroProZorrofor the purchase of diesel generator stations, which the winner of the tender must deliver by 31 December 2022.
Also in January 2024, two utility companies in Lviv, Lvivvodokanal and Lvivteploenergo, received generators from UNHCR Ukraine, the United Nations Refugee Agency in Ukraine. According to the companies, in the event of a long-term power outage, the generators will be used as a backup power source at water and heat supply facilities.
