At the next session of the Lviv Regional Council, which will be held on September 20, the deputies plan to hear information from law enforcement authorities about the state of affairs regarding the persecution of persons engaged in volunteer activities in the territory of Lviv region.
This decision was made today at a meeting of the Presidium of the Lviv Regional Council.
The head of the regional council, Iryna Hrymak, thanked all the caring volunteers of the Lviv region who demonstrate their true statesmanship. “The Lviv Regional Council will not stand aside and we offer a platform for dialogue to all parties. We have to work out clear and understandable rules of the game in accordance with the current legislation, according to which volunteers will be able to carry out their activities, and law enforcement officers will be able to control accordingly. The government and society are united in our fight against the enemy,” Iryna Hrymak emphasized.
At the session, deputies also plan to consider the Comprehensive Program for the Popularization of the Ukrainian Language in the Lviv Region for 2023-2027. The corresponding working group worked on the program project, which collected and summarized proposals from linguists, the public, specialized departments, communal institutions of the regional council, and expert groups.
Deputies will also consider the issue of expanding the Lviv Regional Clinical Diagnostic Center of the Communal Non-Commercial Enterprise of the Lviv Regional Council by joining it with the Lviv Regional State Clinical Medical Diagnostic Endocrinological Center and the Lviv Regional Specialized Center for Radiation Protection of the Population.
Also on the agenda of the session is the issue of renaming the settlements of Rudne and Slavske and returning them to Rudne and Slavske, the authentic historically widespread model of names in Ukraine.
