On November 8, at a meeting of the executive committee of the LMR, a decision was made to refuse the granting of urban planning conditions and restrictions for the reconstruction of the unfinished Pearl of Lviv PE at the expense of a superstructure and adaptation for a cafe-bar on the square. Knyazya Yaroslav Osmomysla, 3 – sq. Zvenigorodska, 4 in Lviv.
This decision was made by the members of the executive committee, taking into account the inconsistency of the building intentions with the requirements of the urban planning documentation – the land plot on the square. Knyazya Yaroslav Osmomysla, 3 – sq. Zvenigorodska, 4 is located in a block of mixed (residential and public) existing buildings in the historical area of the city, where there is no approved historical reference plan, which is an integral part of the master plan.
In addition, according to Anton Kolomeyitsev, head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, residents of neighboring buildings had reservations about the construction of a cafe-bar.
“We were at the site and there were quite lively public discussions. Indeed, the residents expressed their fears about the impact of this facility, in particular that the unfinished facility will be dismantled, earthworks will be carried out, some elements will be installed there, and therefore all this may endanger the neighboring buildings,” said the chief architect of Lviv.
By the way, the decision regarding the cafe-bar on the square Prince Yaroslav Osmomysl was also considered last fall. Then, given the circumstances, it was postponed for revision.
