In Sokal, the bridge crossing over the Western Bug River will be reconstructed
The tender was announced for UAH 360,387,707 on the Prozorro portal by the Department of Road Management of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
Regarding the cost of the tender
The tender was announced on June 16 and will end on June 26, 2023. Therefore, the final cost of the works may change.
As stated in the announcement, the bridge is located on the public road of local importance О141602 Sokal – Stoyaniv. It was announced on June 16, and the auction will begin on June 26.
It is worth noting a few details:
bridge – the main artery that connects Sokal and the village of Zhvyrka. Since the construction of the new bridge will last three years, it is worth observing the load restrictions
in wartime, valuable investments may take longer than planned
road users must maintain a distance on the bridge

On February 16, 2021, a public hearing was held in the premises of the Sokal City Council on the construction of a vehicular and pedestrian bridge over the Zahidny Bug River, which will connect the city of Sokal and the village of Zhvyrka.
In 2021, the Highway Service, which is the customer for the production of design and estimate documentation, plans to complete its work on the production of the project.
According to the plan of the planners, the bridge will be built parallel to the existing one, to the left (from the Sokal side – note).
As of February 2021, the estimated cost of the construction of the vehicular and pedestrian bridge over the Zahidny Bug River was estimated at more than 250 million
The construction of the bridge was planned to start in 2022. This will be one of the largest infrastructure investments in the region. At that time, the major investment was the overhaul of the highway from Chervonograd to the borders of Lviv and Volyn regions, the cost of which is estimated at over 400 million hryvnias.
The construction of the bridge over the Z. Bug river will last for three years.
