Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin has issued an order appointing a new head of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Mykola Meret.
On the instructions of the Prosecutor General, his deputy Anton Voitenko introduced the new head of the regional prosecutor’s office to the staff.
“Mykola Meret has proven himself to be a person who is able to effectively organize work to accomplish the tasks. In particular, he has experience of successful and efficient management of the Specialized Defense Prosecutor’s Office in the Western region,” said the Deputy Prosecutor General.
He emphasized that in order to achieve results in the priority areas identified by the Prosecutor General, effective and coordinated work of all law enforcement agencies is necessary.
The newly appointed head of the regional prosecutor’s office thanked for the trust and assured that he would work together with the staff to ensure the effective work of the prosecutor’s office in Lviv region.
The Deputy Prosecutor General also thanked the former head of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Hennadiy Demchenko, for organizing the work of the prosecutor’s office at a high level, which was appropriately assessed by the Prosecutor General’s Office.
For reference: Mykola Meret has been working in the prosecutor’s office since March 2009. During this time, he held various positions, including senior positions in the prosecutor’s offices of Odesa and Lviv regions. Prior to his appointment, he served as the Head of the Specialized Defense Prosecutor’s Office in the Western Region.
