The Sokal community is one of the five communities of the Lviv region that won the Swedish-Ukrainian PROSTO project. One of the priority tasks of the project “Maintaining the availability of services in Ukraine” is to improve the quality of the provision of administrative services in Starosty districts.
The all-Ukrainian selection of communities for cooperation with the Project in the second round continued throughout May, and a total of 63 applications from communities from 21 regions of Ukraine were collected. The selection of communities by the competitive commission for further cooperation took place in two stages – through preliminary and main selection.
At the end of the selection, a final list of 16 communities from all over Ukraine was determined, which were recommended for further cooperation with the Project, including the Sokal community. The implementation of the project will take place during June-November of this year.
As part of the support, the PROSTO Project offers communities:
– carrying out an expert analysis of documents regulating the work of elders and the provision of administrative (public) services in the eldership districts;
– preparation of recommendations for improving the functioning of Starosty districts;
– development of relevant models of providing administrative (public) services in Starosty districts;
– institutional support for the organization of the provision of administrative (public) services in Starosty districts;
– training events for employees of Starosty districts.
