Most often, the Centers for Administrative Services of Lviv are asked about the issue of passports: foreign and citizen of Ukraine (ID-card). Experts emphasize that passports ordered before the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine can be obtained, but the documents will not be verified.
“Passport verification means comparing fingerprints and comparing a digitized image of a person’s face. Due to the fact that the work of the register of the state migration service has been suspended, it is impossible to take a number of necessary steps, ”the Department of Administrative Services of the LMR emphasizes.
In particular, it is not possible to:
automated verification;
change of personal identification numbers (PIN1, PIN2) and personal authorization codes (PUK1, PUK2) to the contactless electronic medium contained in the passport;
make a note in the register on the issuance of the document (such a mark will be made after the resumption of the register without the need for a separate application of the applicant).
We will remind, during martial law it is possible to prolong validity of the previous passports and to paste a photo of the child, till 16 years, in the passport of one of parents.
