Preparatory work on the creation of a municipal shooting range is starting in Lviv. The modern sports facility will be located on Lysenko Street.
As of today, the project is ready. The shooting range will have two floors: on the first level there will be an 18-meter archery range, and on the second level there will be a main range for shooting up to 50 meters. In addition, functional use of the roof is planned: in the warm season, archery classes will also be held on the third level. The building also provides all the necessary technical and administrative premises. The project will be implemented at the expense of patrons.
“For archery training, we will have enough of these capacities, we will be able to hold competitions of a certain level. Bullet shooting will also meet all standards. There will be distances of 10, 15, 25 and 50 meters and a modern system of lifting and replacing targets. This facility is inclusive, accessible to everyone who wants to practice shooting,” said Anton Nikulin, head of the LMR sports department.
“I like this project. It is necessary to undertake all geological and geodetic studies, develop all documentation and start work. It is necessary to have a step-by-step road map for the implementation of this project, so that the shooting range works as quickly and qualitatively as possible,” emphasized Andriy Sadovy, mayor of Lviv.
