The day before, on August 14, 18 volunteers of the Przemyśl community solemnly took an oath of loyalty to the Ukrainian people
The oath was taken in the Univskaya Lavra. Afterwards, there was a prayer for the victory of the Ukrainian army. The vicar of the Lavra, hieromonk Makariy, addressed the volunteers.
Twelve local soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces who died for Ukraine in the Russian-Ukrainian war were also honored with a minute of silence.
Relatives and friends also came to congratulate the members of volunteer formations with the solemn oath.
After taking the oath, the volunteers were handed certificates of participants of the Voluntary Formations of the Przemyśl Territorial Community (DFTG).
