The “Package for a Hero” campaign was carried out
Every day at 9 o’clock, we observe a minute of silence in memory of all those who have lost their lives for Ukraine because of Russian aggression.
Today, Lviv region says goodbye to its defenders:
🕯️Василь Abramiv
A resident of Zhuravkiv village, Zhydachiv community. He defended Ukraine as a member of the 2nd platoon of the operational purpose of the 3rd company of the operational purpose of the 5th battalion of the operational purpose of the military unit A3029. He was a grenade launcher. The warrior died on 13 February 2024 as a result of a serious injury near the village of Mala Tokmachka, Zaporizhzhia region, on 29 January. He was 46 years old.
🕯️Іван Boyko
A defender from the village of Shum’yach, Turkivska community. During the full-scale war, he was a rifleman and medic. He served in the ranks of the mountain assault platoon of the mountain assault company of the mountain assault battalion of the military unit A1556. The soldier died near the village of Pyatikhatky, Kherson region. He was 28 years old.
🕯️Андрій.
A resident of Lviv. Since 2014, he had been performing combat missions in the ATO. From the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he defended his homeland, first in the ranks of the 7th Carpathian Border Guard Detachment. Later, he served in the Luhansk Border Guard Detachment named after the Hero of Ukraine Colonel Yevhen Pikus of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
For conscientious performance of his duties, Andrii was awarded the badges “For Courage in the Protection of the State Border” and “Excellent Border Guard”. The soldier died on 3 February 2024. He was 31 years old.
🕯️ Yurii Mykhailov
A resident of Lviv. On the first day of the full-scale invasion, he voluntarily came to the defence of his homeland. He joined the 112th separate territorial defence brigade of the Regional Directorate “North” of the Territorial Defence Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and later – the military unit A4714. He performed combat missions in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
For personal courage, Yurii was awarded the “Golden Cross” badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The defender died on 14 February 2024. He was 27 years old.
🕯️Остап Iskiv
A defender from Lviv. At the beginning of the full-scale war, he volunteered to join the 33rd Separate Mechanised Brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For his personal courage and exemplary service, Ostap was awarded the commemorative badge “Defender of Ukraine” and the medal “For Invincibility”. The soldier died on 7 February 2024. He was 44 years old.
🕯️Богдан Izhyk
A native of the village of Nyzhne Vysotske. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he defended his homeland. He served in the military unit A7081. He performed combat missions in the Sumy region and in the territory of Zaporizhzhia region. The soldier died on 10 February 2024. He was 54 years old.
🕯️ Oleksandr Martych
The defender was from the village of Lopushanka-Khomina. Since 2016, Oleksandr served in the 23rd Maritime Security Detachment of the Regional Maritime Security Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. On 24 February, 2022, he was on duty in Mariupol. He took part in the defence of Azovstal. In May 2022, he was taken prisoner by Russia. A year later, Oleksandr was returned home. The soldier died on 12 February 2024. He was 50 years old.
🕯️Василь Bortnyk
A resident of the village of Turye in the Strelkivska community. During the full-scale war, he served in the military unit A0536. The defender died on 9 February 2024 near the village of Avdiivka, Donetsk region. He was 45 years old.
