Back in 2015, Yuriy Tovaryansky, Ivan Farina, Yuriy Vyshnevsky and Pavel Matviyiv delivered aid to Artemivsk and Popasna.
When the volunteers were in Popasna, they could feel the real taste of war. First of all, they set to work to complete an unfinished dugout (pictured), and car mechanic Yuriy Vyshnevsky repaired a military excavator in a short time, for which the soldiers were very grateful.
At that time, artillery and mortar attacks on our positions continued, volunteers together with the military guarded the field military hospital, and our fellow countrywoman from the village of Borok, Marichka Dykhtyar, and her colleague Lilya, provided first aid to a wounded soldier in the morning after the battle.
In civilian life, Marichka worked as a doctor. In the first days of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Maria Dykhtyar went back to work as a military medic, and now she serves in the active combat zone, saving wounded heroes every day.
