29-Year-Old Soldier Nazarii Vladyka from the Velyki Mosty Community Laid to Rest in Lviv

In Lviv, Ukraine’s Defender Nazarii Vladyka, a native of the village of Reklynets in the Velyki Mosty community, was laid to rest. The soldier, whose call sign was “Sviatyi,” was killed on June 18, 2026. He was 29 years old.

Nazarii Vladyka was born on March 17, 1997, in the village of Reklynets. He began serving Ukraine in 2016, when he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The serviceman initially served in the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynskyi of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He took part in the Anti-Terrorist Operation and the Joint Forces Operation.

After the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Nazarii Vladyka once again stood up to defend the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state. He fought as part of the 80th Separate Galician Air Assault Brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The defender carried out combat missions in the Dnipropetrovsk, Southern Slobozhanshchyna, Kursk, Sumy, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia sectors.

Nazarii Vladyka’s Awards

For his courage, heroism, bravery, and selfless service to the Ukrainian people, the soldier received numerous state and military awards. They included:

  • the Order for Courage, 1st Class;
  • the Order for Courage, 2nd Class;
  • the Order for Courage, 3rd Class;
  • the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine honorary badge “Cross of the Brave”;
  • the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine honorary badge “Steel Cross”;
  • the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine decoration “For Valor”;
  • the Presidential Decoration “For Participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation”;
  • the Commander of the 80th Separate Galician Air Assault Brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine decoration “Steel Lion”;
  • the “Best BM 9P148 Crew” distinction of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynskyi of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Farewell to the Defender

The farewell ceremony for Nazarii Vladyka took place on June 23, 2026, at the Garrison Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church at 11 Teatralna Street in Lviv.

After a joint prayer and the final tribute, the Hero was buried at Lychakiv Cemetery, in Field of Honorary Burials No. 87, located on Pasichna Street.

In the Velyki Mosty community, Nazarii is remembered as a courageous serviceman, a true patriot of Ukraine, and a man of honor and unbreakable spirit. He was kind, sincere, compassionate, and caring, and was distinguished by his responsibility, discipline, and organizational skills. The defender was respected by his family, friends, and fellow soldiers.

The community expressed its sincere condolences to the fallen soldier’s wife and son, his mother, brother, grandmother, other relatives and loved ones, fellow soldiers, and everyone who knew and loved Nazarii Vladyka.

The community’s residents bow their heads in grief and gratitude for the defender’s sacrifice, his loyalty to the military oath, and his devotion to Ukraine.
