Memorial plaques unveiled in Remezivtsi to honour defenders Volodymyr Buzanovskyi and Roman Romanov

In the village of Remezivtsi in the Zolochiv area, two memorial plaques in honour of the fallen defenders Volodymyr Buzanovskyi and Roman Romanov were unveiled and consecrated on the facade of the Remezivtsi General Secondary Education School I–III degrees of the Pomoriany community, the Lviv Regional Military Administration reported.

Roman Romanov was born in the village of Remezivtsi, Zolochiv district. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and served in the Zaporizhzhia sector as part of the 15th Operational Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine named after Hero of Ukraine Lieutenant Bohdan Zavada “Kara-Dag”. Due to his state of health, he was discharged from service on 3 April 2025. The defender’s heart stopped on 1 October 2025; he was 36 years old.

Volodymyr Buzanovskyi was also born in the village of Remezivtsi, Zolochiv district. He served in the 3rd section of the machine-gun platoon of the 1st rifle company of military unit A4046. For more than a year, the soldier was considered missing in action. It has been established that he was killed on 20 June 2024 while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Nevske, Svatove district, Luhansk region. The defender was 49 years old.

The memorial plaques on the school building in Remezivtsi are intended to preserve the memory of the fallen soldiers and their service to Ukraine.
