Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to three defenders: Taras Sivenky, Ivan Ravlink and Andrii Pylypiv

On Saturday, November 18, Lviv will say goodbye to servicemen Taras Sivenky, Ivan Ravlink, Andrii Pylypiv, who died at the hands of the Russian occupiers while defending Ukraine. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

At 09:45 a farewell ceremony will be held for the soldier Taras Sivenky in the Church of the Holy Martyr Klementiy Sheptytsky of the UGCC (Kryvonosa St., 1).

The funeral rites of defenders Taras Sivenky, Ivan Ravlink and Andrii Pylypiv will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square.

Military servicemen will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Biographical references of defenders

Taras Syvenky (March 10, 1996-November 13, 2023) from Lviv.

He received his secondary education at Lyceum No. 93 of the Lviv City Council, after finishing the 9th grade he entered the former Lviv State School of Physical Culture, since he was involved in athletics since childhood.

Later, he entered the Lviv Polytechnic National University, majoring in Engineering Mechanics. In 2017, he completed military training at the National Academy of Ground Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny.

He worked as a design engineer at the Limited Liability Company “Biscotti” and the Scientific and Production Enterprise “Sparing-Wist Center”. He had many hobbies and interests: throughout his life he was involved in sports, he liked to ride a bicycle, play football, and travel in the mountains. From childhood, he was interested in history, had an exceptionally good ability to remember dates and events, and possessed thorough knowledge of science and technology. Taras Syvenky was always the soul of the company, he knew how to organize people.

Senior lieutenant. On the first day of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he volunteered to defend the Motherland in the ranks of the 45th separate artillery brigade of the Ground Forces Reserve Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of platoon commander, participated in the battles for the liberation of Kherson region, Kharkiv region and Donetsk region. For his personal courage, he was awarded numerous awards, in particular, the “Steel Cross” and “Silver Cross” badge of honor of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He died heroically while performing a combat mission.

Taras Syvenky is survived by his parents and sister.

 

Ivan Ravlinko (12.04.1989-14.11.2023) native of Lviv.

Studied at Lyceum No. 18 of the Lviv City Council. After completing secondary education, he immediately started working.

During the last period, he worked in the meat department at Arsen Trade Network LLC. In his free time, he was interested in computer technologies.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he stood up to protect the Motherland from the invaders. Defended the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state as part of the 42nd separate mechanized brigade of the operational command “West” of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine). Performed combat missions on the territory of Donetsk region.

Ivan Ravlinka is survived by his mother, sister, brother, fiancée and brother-in-law.

 

Andriy Pylypiv (06.06.1982-05.11.2023) A native of the village of Vyhoda, Ivano-Frankivsk region.

During the years 1988-1997, he studied at the Rozhnyativ Lyceum of the Ivano-Frankivsk Region (at that time – Secondary General Education School of the I-III degrees). He received his education at the former Kosiv College and Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts named after V. Kasiyan, majoring in “Master of Artistic Forging”, and later entered the Lviv National Academy of Arts for correspondence education.

After completing his education, he first worked in his specialty in Chernivtsi, then at a private enterprise in Lviv. As an artist, a professional craftsman in metal and forging, he constantly improved his skills and mastered the artistic processing of wood flawlessly. He is the author of the monument to workers in Ivano-Frankivsk.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he joined the A4740 military unit to defend the Motherland. Later, he performed combat missions in the ranks of the 47th separate mechanized brigade “Magura” of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the battles at the hottest points of the front, Andrii Pylypov was distinguished by exceptional resilience and courage.

The soldier is survived by his parents, wife, 9-year-old daughter and sister.
