Tomorrow Lviv will say goodbye to defender Vitaliy Synyuk

On Saturday, 9 November, Lviv will say goodbye to soldier Vitaliy Synyuk, who gave his life in battle with Russian occupiers while defending Ukraine.

The City Hall calls on residents and visitors to join the city’s farewell ceremony and refrain from entertainment and celebrations during this time.

The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Ss. Peter and Paul. Afterwards, at approximately 11:30 a.m., a citywide farewell ceremony will be held on Rynok Square.

Vitaliy Synyuk will be buried at Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv.

Vitalii Syniuk (13.02.1996-27.09.2024) was a resident of Lviv.

He studied at Lviv Secondary School No. 7 of the Lviv City Council. He graduated from the Lviv Higher Vocational School of Trade and Services.

He worked in the construction industry in Lviv, and for the last time was engaged in the production of decorative candles. In his spare time, he was fond of cinema.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, despite his lack of combat experience, he defended the state from the occupiers. He performed tasks to defend the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Motherland in Donetsk region in the ranks of the 67th separate mechanised brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Vitalii Syniuk is survived by his wife, 6-year-old son, grandparents, two sisters, brother, aunt, extended family and many friends.
