On February 8, the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, held a working meeting with the CEO of Nestlé in Ukraine and Southeast Europe, Alessandro Zanelli. During the meeting, the general director told how the company works during the war and shared plans for its development in the near future. The leader of the Lviv Region thanked the company for providing jobs to thousands of residents of the region and timely payment of taxes. “Thank you for the high quality of all your products, with which you provide not only our region, but also the whole of Ukraine. You are one of the key employers in the Lviv region and we want you to constantly increase your presence in us not only through direct investments, but also through the creation of new jobs. I especially want to emphasize the categorical position of your company regarding the condemnation of the Russian invasion, as well as the provision of humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine in this difficult time,” Maksym Kozytskyi said. Alessandro Zanelli said during the meeting that the structural units of the company provide jobs to 3 thousand residents of the region. “We are extremely grateful to you for the fact that we have the opportunity to develop our business in the Lviv region and feel your constant support. Even despite the war, we continue to develop production at our Lviv plant. We have invested $15 million in equipment improvements since last year. We plan to continue to invest in Lviv Oblast and continue our activities here, because the business climate in the region is conducive to this,” summarized the CEO of Nestlé in the region. At the end of the meeting, Maksym Kozytskyi invited the company to further invest in the Lviv region and increase production of Nestlé products. In turn, the general director invited to visit one of the factories and see the production process from the inside. In addition, during 2022, the company handed over 4,200 tons of products, or 160 million portions of food, worth more than 13 million Swiss francs as humanitarian aid to Ukrainians inside the country and refugees abroad. A significant part of this aid was provided to people who found refuge in Lviv and the region. Nestlé has 5,800 employees in Ukraine, the company owns three factories and two distribution centers, and also has a service center in Lviv to support procurement, HR and IT processes. LODA
