Cyberwar: how to effectively resist the aggressor?

Despite the war that Ukraine and the world are experiencing these days, the events of which are covered on social networks and television, there is an active cyber war. The Ukrainian army inflicts devastating blows on the enemy not only in the air, on land and at sea, but also successfully works on targets in cyberspace.

This was reported in the Department of Digital Development of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.

” With each passing day, attacks on enemy resources are becoming more effective and larger. The Ukrainian IT Army is constantly improving its combat skills, but it needs more resources, more volunteers and more computers. That is why we have prepared an article which provides instructions on how to join the cyber army and beat the network infrastructure of the occupiers ”, – said in the department.

There are the following methods of cyber warfare, in particular:

DDOS (Distributed Denial-of-Service) is an attack on a computer system that causes software to shut down, preventing a website or other online resource from continuing to work and becoming inaccessible. This is achieved by sending a huge number of external requests to the attacked target (computer / network equipment).
A botnet is a computer network consisting of a number of hosts (computers). Standalone software is running on each host. This allows you to use the resources of other computers to achieve a specific goal.

But all this is effective only through the use of VPN, specialized software and information content.

The following article provides key recommendations on what tools to use to succeed in cyberspace warfare.
