Recently, the annual pilgrimage to Zaglyna Spiritual Centre was held on the occasion of the Feast of the Placement of the Honourable Belt of Our Lady.
According to the press service of the Diocese of Sokal and Zhovkva, many pilgrims came to the holy and miraculous place to pray for a victorious peace for our country.
The Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, accompanied by the Blessing Choir of the parish of the Holy Martyr Josaphat from Chervonohrad, was celebrated by Bishop Petro Loza in concelebration with numerous clergy.
In his sermon, the bishop noted that “today we ask in prayer that the Lord would touch the wounds of our people and give comfort to those who have lost their loved ones, that He would give them the strength not to break down in the trials and that He would return all the soldiers to their homes, where their families are waiting for them.”
The faithful had the opportunity to venerate St Charbel, whose relics were in the retreat centre that day.
The pilgrimage ended with a prayer for Ukraine accompanied by the spiritual hymn “God, Great and One” and the blessing of water.
